Phonetics:  Speaking and Listening:  Intermediate BM 8, 9

This module focuses on speaking and listening skills necessary for students to effectively use the telephone, communicate in discussions, network and participate as meeting observers and minute takers.

The module focuses on building and practicing basic speaking and listening skills specifically

• Pronunciation
• The rhythm and stress patterns of spoken North American English
• Reflective listening
• Formal / informal language
• Language Register

The module also elaborates on the appropriate etiquette and language formality cues used in each of the above functions.
