The apartment is less than 1 kilometer from downtown and 10 minutes on foot from the thermal baths. The Andaines forest (5300 hectares or 13,000 acres) is 500 meters away, with 500 km of marked trails.

Services offered in the center of Bagnoles de l’Orne: shops, restaurants, medical services, pharmacies, dry cleaning, garages, taxis, bus service, horse-back riding, swimming pools and tennis courts. There is a farmers market twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Bagnoles de l’Orne has supermarkets, numerous shows and venues of entertainment, a SNCF train station 5 km away in the neighboring town of la Ferté Macé and even a casino where one can go to tempt fate.

Bagnoles de l’Orne itself is conveniently located amidst many interesting sites:  Paris (2 hrs away), Mont St. Michel (1 hr), Bayeux(1hr), Tours and Chartres.  The tourism office will have information about current festivities and travel options between towns.

The apartment accommodates 2 people comfortably.  It is situated on the ground floor on the entrance side, on the first floor of the side facing the park, with a balcony and view facing south. The building has controlled entrance with intercom system and one parking spot. The apartment is well-ventilated and has central heating. The total area is 280 square feet. The kitchen, bathroom, and toilet are separate.

Two bicycles are at the renter's disposal.

Description of the apartment

The apartment, which was redecorated in 2002, is in excellent condition.  The front door opens out onto a hallway which is shared with the other apartments.

The kitchen is equipped with a sink, an electric hot-plate (with two burners), a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, a toaster-oven and a wine rack.  The kitchen comes complete with pots and pans, a pressure cooker, a set of dishes and utensils.

The bathroom consists of a bathtub with a detachable showerhead, a mirror, shelves, and a sink. The toilet is in a separate room.

The main living space covers 14 square meters (150 square feet), has a patio door leading to the balcony which has patio furniture for 2 people. The furniture consists of two sofas (one that pulls out into a bed), two bedside tables, a dresser, a wardrobe, and a round table with 3 chairs. Also at the renter's disposal are a color television, iron, ironing board and a clothes rack. There is a phone that takes incoming calls and uses “Téléséjour” cards to make outgoing calls.
